Faculty Friendly T20 Cricket Match

A Faculty Friendly T20 Cricket Match was held on 1st February 2021 at our Green Permanent campus which is organized by the Faculty of Science and Engineering. The faculties from EEE Dept led by Chairperson Dr. ASM Shihavuddin faces the faculties from the CSE Dept which was led by our chairperson of the CSE Dept Dr Md. Saiful Azad. This match was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, honorable Vice Chancellor, GUB, and by the other special guests Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque (Pro-Vice Chancellor, GUB), Dr Md Fayzur Rahman (Treasurer, GUB), Md Saiful Islam (Registrar, GUB). CSE Dept. won the toss and chose to field first. The EEE Dept starts the match at a slow pace and they are restricted to score not more than 87 runs. Then the drama started and the CSE Dept also scored 86 in 19.5 overs. It would take 2 runs to win in 1 ball and CSE Dept was able to take 1 run in the last ball. The game ended as a tie and the prize-giving ceremony was held after the ending among all the participants.

It was a low score but an exciting match indeed. The match was conducted by Dr Md Shariful Islam (Associate Professor, Dept. of Textile) and Md Humayun Kabir Rana. All the faculties are looking forward to the next match ahead.
