Online Seminar Future of Nuclear Energy

A seminar titled “Future of Nuclear Energy – Do Ternary Fission Reactions hold the key?” arranged by the  Department of EEE, Green University of Bangladesh on 07 May 2020 Thursday, at 11:00 am by using Zoom Platform.  The seminar was conducted by Dr. Md. Ashaduzzaman, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE.

The seminar focused on Nuclear Energy to reduce our dependence on fuels like coal and oil with the fulfillment of the huge demand for energy for the excessive population. The speaker explained some different ways to produce Nuclear energy and among them the most efficient way is the Ternary Fission Reactions although it’s less common but has a massive significance to meet the extreme peaks of demand. The participants got to know that having limited resources and not as much reactants, Ternary Fission Reactions produce the highest amount of energy which legitimately holds the key.

The Honorable Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque was present at the seminar as Chief Guest and Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, Chairperson, Department of EEE was present as the session chair of the program.

Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Professor, Department of EEE and honorable Treasurer of GUB enlightened the seminar with his appearance. The event also became enriched by the presence of Dr. Jagannath Biswas, Associate Professor, Textile Department, Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, Associate Professor, Department of EEE and Dr. Md. Shariful Alam, Associate Professor from the Textile Department and all of the faculties from different universities. Total 148 Students from different Departments of different Universities participated in this seminar
