Successful Completion of EEE Departmental Freshers’ Orientation for Fall 2024

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) successfully organized the Freshers’ Orientation Program for the Fall 2024 semester on 17th September 2024 jointly with the EEE Club. The event marked a warm and exciting welcome to our new batch of students, celebrating their arrival with a series of thoughtful activities and speeches.

The orientation began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, setting a reflective tone for the event. Prof. Dr. Quamrul Ahsan delivered an inspiring speech, motivating the new students. Dr. Molla Shahadad Hossain Lipu then outlined the five pillars for achieving academic excellence and becoming a successful engineer. Following this, Kamran Ahmed led the faculty introductions. Atiqul Islam introduced the Program Coordinators to the students, while Najmul Huda highlighted the importance of the mentorship program for the freshmen. The event concluded with an engaging Kahoot game, with prizes awarded to the top three winners.

The program progressed with the distribution of welcoming gifts to our freshers, setting a delightful tone for the day. We were honored to have Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Azad, Dean of the Faculty of Science & Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, our esteemed Pro-Vice Chancellor, both of whom delivered inspirational and insightful speeches. Their words of encouragement and vision for the future resonated deeply with the students, providing valuable guidance as they embark on their academic journey.

We were also privileged to have Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, Chairperson of the EEE Department, who addressed the freshers with heartfelt words of welcome and shared his perspective on the department’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and personal growth.

The success of the event was further elevated by the participation and enthusiasm of our distinguished faculty members and staff, who made the event memorable for our new students.
