Successful Completion of “Meet the Department” of EEE Department Program for Spring-2021 Semester

Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) has successfully organized the virtual “Meet the Department” program for Spring 2021. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin (Chairperson of Department of EEE), Prof. Dr. Quamrul Ahsan (Distinguished Professor of EEE department), Mr. Redwan Ferdous (Country Representative, World Robot Olympiad (WRO) in BD), Mr. Md. Mazharul Islam (Deputy Registrar), faculty members, current students, prospective new students and their guardians took part in the program. The Chairperson of the Department of EEE, Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, inaugurated the meeting with his welcome speech focusing on the research achievement, Job Success Rate, facilities and resources of the department. Prof. Dr. Quamrul Ahsan, distinguished Professor of EEE department shared his inspiring thoughts regarding the future of the department. Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, associate Professor, Dept. of EEE briefly described the lab and research facilities of EEE department, while Mr. Khan Rahmat Ullah, former Assistant Professor, talked about Job prospects of EEE graduates. Mr. Redwan Ferdous, Country Representative (BD), World Robot Olympiad (WRO) presented his valuable ideas on Robotics and IoT and job prospects of EEE graduates. Md. Masum Hossain briefly explained the importance and opportunities of higher studies of the respective department. Mr. Md. Mazharul Islam, Deputy Registrar of GUB explained the admission process, waivers, and different scholarship schemes of the university.

One student, Md Sumon Hossain from 202 batch talked about his experience on online classes in the department and how he achieved excellent results. Md Anto Islam, President of EEE club described the co-curricular activities and their requirements in various science & technology related activities associated with the department followed by the recitation of a poem by Mr. Hafiz Sikder. Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer of Green University of Bangladesh, briefly informed the outstanding research accomplishments and lab facilities of EEE department. During a lively question-answer session, senior faculty members and officials of GUB responded to the queries of admission aspirants.

The whole program was chaired by Dr. ASM Shihavuddin. He ended the program by thanking everyone for their kind presence and participation.
