The Green University EEE Club successfully organized the Departmental Iftar Mahfil 2026 on 25 February 2026 at the GUB Central Field. The event brought together honorable guests, respected faculty members, and students of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) in a spiritually uplifting and harmonious atmosphere during the blessed month of Ramadan. The gathering reflected the shared values of faith, unity, and community that define the academic and social spirit of Green University of Bangladesh. The program commenced in the afternoon with a Quran Tilawat Competition at approximately 4:45 PM. The session was gracefully hosted by Md. Atiqul Islam, Lecturer and Program Coordinator, Department of EEE. The competition was evaluated by distinguished judges, including M. M. Naushad Ali. Among the eleven participants, Sha Tanvir Ahmed (231 Batch, EEE) achieved the first position through his exceptional recitation, demonstrating remarkable devotion and excellence.

Following the Tilawat competition, an engaging Islamic Quiz Competition on the theme “The Life of Rasul (SW)” was conducted. The quiz highlighted key events and teachings from the life of Prophet Muhammad (SW), encouraging participants to deepen their spiritual knowledge. Three groups participated enthusiastically, and one group emerged victorious through their impressive knowledge, coordination, and teamwork.

The winners of both competitions were honored with prizes presented by respected academic leaders, including Prof. Dr. A. S. M. Shihavuddin, Professor and Director of CETL and CRITS; Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, Chairperson and Associate Professor, Department of EEE; and Dr. Jagannath Biswas. Their presence inspired and encouraged the students, adding prestige and significance to the occasion.

The Iftar Mahfil was further enriched by the gracious presence of Prof. Dr. Md. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, Vice Chancellor, and Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer of GUB, along with other respected faculty members. Prior to Iftar, both distinguished guests shared thoughtful religious reflections, emphasizing the importance of faith, compassion, unity, and moral responsibility in both personal and professional life.

Before breaking the fast, Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman led a heartfelt dua, creating a deeply spiritual and reflective moment for all attendees. As the sun set, participants joined in prayer and shared Iftar together in a warm, respectful, and serene environment, strengthening the bonds among faculty members, students, and guests.

One of the most remarkable highlights of the event was the exceptional decoration and seating arrangement, meticulously prepared by the dedicated volunteers of the Green University EEE Club. The Central Field was artistically adorned, and the seating arrangement was creatively designed in the shape of “EEE,” symbolizing the unity, identity, and pride of the department. The thoughtful planning and dedicated teamwork of the volunteers created a visually impressive and well-organized ambiance that elevated the overall experience.

The Green University EEE Club extends its sincere gratitude to the honorable guests, respected faculty members, participants, and volunteers whose invaluable support and collective efforts ensured the resounding success of the Departmental Iftar Mahfil 2026.
