Seminar on "Recent Trends and Innovations in Telecommunication Technologies"

We are delighted to share that the seminar on “Recent Trends and Innovations in Telecommunication Technologies”, organized by the EEE Club in association with the Department of EEE, was successfully held on Saturday, 19th July 2025 at Room A-302, Green University of Bangladesh. The event brought together students, faculty, and distinguished guests in a vibrant academic environment that fostered meaningful discussions and insights into the rapidly evolving field of telecommunications.

The session began with a warm welcome and seamless anchoring by Md. Ashaduzzaman Niloy, Lecturer, Department of EEE, who set the tone for the event with his confident presentation and smooth coordination throughout the program. His energy kept the audience engaged and guided the program transitions effectively.

The session was chaired by Dr. Mohammed Nazmus Shakib, Associate Professor, Department of EEE and Additional Director, IQAC. In his remarks, Dr. Shakib emphasized the critical role of quality education and institutional collaboration in preparing future engineers to meet the challenges of the telecommunication industry. He connected academic aspirations with practical technological trends and encouraged students to stay ahead of the curve.

The highlight of the seminar was the keynote speech delivered by Brig. Gen. Md. Aminul Hoque, Director General, Spectrum Division, BTRC. His talk offered an in-depth overview of the current spectrum policies in Bangladesh, regulatory advancements, and the strategic vision for 5G and beyond. He also shared insights into how innovation and intelligent spectrum use are driving the future of mobile networks, IoT, and digital infrastructure, inspiring the audience to look beyond conventional thinking.

Following the keynote, an interactive Q&A session took place where participants actively engaged with Brig. Gen. Hoque. Questions ranged from future telecom technologies to career opportunities in regulatory bodies. The speaker responded thoughtfully, further enriching the discussion with real-world examples and guidance for young engineers.

We were honored to have Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Professor, Department of EEE and Treasurer, Green University, as the Special Guest. He praised the initiative and spoke about the vital link between communication technologies and national development. He urged students to innovate with purpose and uphold academic excellence.

The event was further graced by Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Green University, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, he congratulated the organizers and highlighted the importance of such seminars in bridging academic learning with global technological advancements. He encouraged continuous learning and interdisciplinary exploration among students and faculty alike.

As a token of appreciation, a crest was handed over to the keynote speaker by the Chief Guest, marking a memorable moment of gratitude and recognition. This was followed by a group photo session, capturing the presence and participation of all our esteemed guests, faculty members, and students.
