The Capstone Project/Thesis Committee of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering conducted a hands-on workshop on “Final Year Design Project: Preparation and Guidelines” targeting the academic supervisor faculty members of the course EEE 400. The event took place on 24 August 2026 in the university premises. The workshop was facilitated by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Green University of Bangladesh. The workshop was conducted by Md. Naiemur Rahman, Convener, Capstone Project/Thesis Committee and was chaired by Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, Associate Professor and Chairperson, Dept. of EEE. 

The workshop intended to disseminate the recent changes and updates in the final year design project courses among the faculty members. 20+ faculty members acting as the academic supervisors of different phases of the course attended the workshop. Besides, Dr. Mohammed Nazmus Shakib, Additional Director of IQAC, GUB participated in the workshop.

Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf initiated the workshop through a short speech on the importance of the Final Year Design Project course in the context of the OBE curriculum. Afterwards, he handed the floor over the committee. The workshop was split into two segments. Firstly, Md. Istiac Ahmed, member of the committee briefed on the recent changes in the course and procedure. 

In the second half, Md. Naiemur Rahman, Convener, Capstone Project/Thesis Committee guided the faculty supervisors on the document preparation for FYDP. He explicitly demonstrated on how a FYDP report should be prepared and evaluated. Additionally, he responded to different queries from the supervisors’ end. Dr. Mohammed Nazmus Shakib pointed out several attributes of FYDP from the perspective of an accreditation evaluation team.
