Career Counselling with Inspiring Students of EEE Department.
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Green University of Bangladesh has successfully completed an online Career Counselling in ZOOM platform titled “Career Counselling with Inspiring Students of EEE Department”. The session started from 03:00 PM and ended at 04:50 PM on Saturday, 08 August 2020.
The Honorable Distinguished Professor Dr. Md. Quamrul Ahsan sir adorned the event as the Chief Guest and enlightened the students by showing how an Electrical Engineer can contribute in society to lead a comfortable life. Respected Chairperson Dr. ASM Shihavuddin was the session chair of this program and inaugurated the session with his insightful speech.
The students of GUB Shaikh Rafiul Mahmud (183 Batch), Irfan Al Wasi (191 Batch), Alamin (183 Batch) and Farjana Shurovi (172 Batch) shared their feelings about the program.
Md. Masum Hossain Lecturer of GUB was present in the session as Special Guest. He focused on the ways and means of Higher Study for the students of GUB and shared resourceful information of ex-GUBians who are pursuing higher education in different countries of the world.
Another Special Guest Md. Abdus Sattar, Assistant Engineer (Technical), Desco was also present in the program. He focused on the preparation for the power sector government job and guided the students with his motivational speech. The students were very interactive throughout the whole session and they clarified their queries by asking questions.
Ex faculty of GUB Sourav Das Gupta who was recently recommended as Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh was the special attraction of the program. But unfortunately he was unable to join us due to his busy schedule. He sent motivational speeches for the students through recorded video.
Distinguished Professor Dr. Md. Quamrul Ahsan, all Program Coordinators of Day and Evening, and almost all the lecturers, and around 90 inspiring students (CGPA 3.00 and above 3.00 till spring 2020 semester) of the EEE department both city and permanent campus were present in the program. In the program, the discussion focuses on student feedback, ways and means to improve the overall class performance, what additional skill sets they should focus on, how they can prepare themselves as effective and influential ambassadors of the university in the market, and related other topics. Around 110 participants attended the program. The program ended with the motivational speech of the session chair, Dr. ASM Shihavuddin.
