EEE Day 2022- Rise From The Ashes: Successful completion of Day Two
The second day of “EEE Day 2022-Rise From The Ashes” has been successfully completed on 3rd November 2022. The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and EEE Club jointly organized the EEE Day 2 at Green University Of Bangladesh (City Campus). The 2nd day started with the Battle of Brains event at 10:00 am and continued with Carrier Talk, Article for the EEE Times and Talent hunt. Students were so enthusiastic to participate in these different events.
- Battle of Brains: Initially 26 teams consisting 80 students participated in the pre battle where top 15 teams fought in the final battlefield. The battles were hosted by Lusain Nima (Lecturer). Prof. Dr ASM Shihavuddin was the chief guest and Mr. Hasan Maruf was the special guest. Md. Shamsuddoha Russell, Managing Director, Kernel International Ltd. along with Prof. Dr ASM Shihavuddin announced the top 3 winners of Battle of Brains.The result of Battle of Brains is here for your reference.Champion: EARTHING GUB (ESRAT AHMED EVA, AL SHARIA RAHMAN, SRABON CHANDRA BAKSHI)1st Runner Up: AlphaZero (Reduan Islam Badhon, Ridwanur Rahman Rifat.)2nd Runner up: Cubic squad (Abdullah Al Mahfuz, Md.Shahriar Islam, Sadi Mohammad Moin)
- Career Talk: EEE Club GUB in collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh organized a motivational seminar on career prospects of EEE graduates titled “Carrier Talk: The Next Future ” .Mr. Shamsuddoha Russell, Managing Director, Kernel International Ltd. was present as the keynote speaker. Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavddin, Chairperson of the Department of EEE was present as chief guest. All respected faculty members, EEE Club members & students from different batches of EEE department were present in this program. At the starting of the program, the keynote speaker was introduced by the program host Najmul Huda Bijoy, Lecturer, Dept. of EEE. The audience were mesmerized by his one hour long career leading, future shaping, direction finding speech.
- Article for the EEE Times : The session of EEE Times of EEE day 2022 has been successfully completed at the city campus. The aim of arranging this contest is to extract the innovative and creative ideas of our young students for the future. This session was conducted by Mr. Md. Abdul Barik (Lecturer).First of all, the successive progressions of EEE Times from start to present was discussed. Then the major area of scopes was focused and the selected five articles for this EEE day 2022 was declared. People were encouraged to submit articles here and the process to submit articles at https://www.eeetimes.org was shown finally. The journey of EEE Times starts in February 2020 and shows a significant result around the middle of the year of 2021. Before EEE day 2021, several people were responding with their intelligent articles and 22 articles were published then. You all will be happy to know that the activities of EEE Times have already influenced other students and also teachers out of GUB. The person whose active contribution was always admirable to establish and develop this EEE Times is Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin. Major five areas of EEE Times are technology, project ideas, research works, literature and academic tips. Among the total articles submitted 13% are of technology, 20% of project idea, 33% of research works, 26% of literature and 7% of academic tips. For EEE day 2022, a significant number of articles were submitted and after evaluation by the judges panel, 5 were selected to provide certificates and the best one was provided a prize. The criteria of the submitted articles to select as best are level of understanding, synthesis of information, use of supporting details, use of accurate scientific terminology and application of information. Aminul Hoque ID: 201001108, GUBØ After his priceless session, a short question-answer session was conducted between the speaker & the audience. Lastly, Our Honorable Chairperson, Dr. ASM Shihavuddin thanked our speaker & presented a crest to him & finally concluded the program.
- Talent hunt: The culture of Bangladesh refers to the interaction of literature, music, dance, festivals etc. of the people of Bangladesh which is well renowned in South Asian Countries. The Bengali culture of Bangladesh shines in pride due to its unique characteristics. Bangladesh is one of the countries with rich culture in the world. The EEE department has organized the most interesting event in EEE DAY 2022 to make the sky-high dreams of art and talent to develop the dormant talent of the young generation and bring it to everyone. The most interesting thing about this event was that there was no entry fee registration required. 26 performances from total submissions published on Green University’s YouTube channel. First three performances were awarded as follows-Judges choice- Samia Nowshin Oishee and Faisal Shahid NoorMost Popular Performance- Nowshin Sharmin JamanMost Creative- Rakebul Jannat Rasel and his team.
