Enlightened and Ascending Graduates of GUB EEE family

The first program of the EEE Alumni Committee named “Enlightened and Ascending Graduates of GUB EEE family” was held on 28th August, 2020 in a joyful environment via zoom platform. Around 42 participants joined the program among which 15 persons were alumnae of the EEE Dept. The Program was begun by the Honorable treasurer and former chairperson of the Dept. Of EEE Professor Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman. In his speech, Dr. Fayzur Rahman explained the goal and aim of a successful alumni association. He also elaborated that how EEE alumni association can become a strong community to maintain the bridge between the graduates and present students. At the end of his speech, he thanked the EEE alumni members to take out their time for joining the program. The keynote speaker Engr. Rafiqddoullah also gave a motivational speech for our final year students who will complete their graduation by this time and apply for professional jobs. Remembering his struggling moments and hard days of study, he encouraged the students to prepare themselves for seeking jobs in the engineering sector as companies are looking for experts in recent times and also promised the students to extend his assistance if required.

Another Keynote speaker, Engr. Saiful Islam also narrated his long time professional experience in engineering job sector. He added that the real battle of a graduate engineer starts after his graduation when he searches for a job in his desired job sector. He advised the students that “Taking preparation for the government job is quite different and students need to make a feasible lesson plan for the written exam”. Both the keynote speakers also requested the attended Alumnae to make the EEE Alumni Association strong, proactive and an eminent community for the benefits of the students of green university.

Finally, the session chair of the program Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, chairperson, Dept. of EEE, had concluded the session. In his speech, the honorable chairperson has advised the EEE alumni members to continue their activities for the greater significance of the university as well as EEE dept. He also urged the members of the EEE alumni to seek for some proactive members to make the community large and arrange some programs on a yearly basis.
