Industrial Tour at Reverie Power & Automation Engineering Ltd by IEEE PES GUB SBC & EEE Club

IEEE Power & Energy Society, GUB SBC, and Green University EEE Club jointly conducted a day-long industrial tour at “Reverie Power & Automation Engineering Ltd., Narsingdi” on May 6, 2023.

The visit was coordinated and guided by Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, Associate Professor, Department of EEE, Green University of Bangladesh.

Reverie Power & Automation Engineering Ltd. is a renowned company in the power market and automation field, where it manufactures transformers, switchgear, and various types of electrical panels.

During this long day tour, a presentation was presented to the participants where the basic structure of a transformer and switchgear were discussed. Later on, participants were divided into two groups and visited the factory’s different sections. Participants learned about how a transformer is manufactured, the procedure for making it, and the components that are used to produce different types of transformers according to different demands. Also, participants learned how raw materials and other components are collected and set up, as well as the manufacturing process of switch gears.

Former students of the Department of EEE at the Green University of Bangladesh were also present during the tour, as they were proudly representing our Green University to this renowned company. They gave their valuable guidance and advice to the students.

The tour ended with a question-answer session and a photo session with everyone.

Students were very inspired and hoped for a more effective industrial tour in the near future.
