Seminar on ‘Higher studies abroad for engineering students’

A seminar titled ‘Higher studies abroad for engineering students’ was organized by EEE club of Green University of Bangladesh on May 05, 2020 (Tuesday) at 12:00 PM by using ZOOM  online.  The seminar was conducted by Mr. Masum Hossen, Lecturer, Dept. of EEE.

The seminar focused on the importance of pursuing higher education for engineering students. The speaker also shed light on the available options for studies in foreign universities. He also discussed the qualifications and skills necessary for students to undertake postgraduate education. The speaker also shared some success stories of some EEE and CSE graduates of GUB who are currently pursuing their Masters and PhD in various reputed universities abroad. The session was highly encouraging for the participating students. The seminar also included a group discussion and Q&A session between the participants and the speaker. In the Q&A session, some Ex-GUBians from different parts of the world (Germany, South Korea, Canada, Malaysia) who are currently pursuing their Masters and PhD in various reputed universities abroad shared their experience. Additionally, One of our ex-faculty members Mr. Khan Rahmat Ullah (PhD Research fellow, UNSW, Australia) enlightened the session by his constructive suggestions, advice regarding the importance of research for higher studies, some tricks & tactics related to application and much more. The event was a large gathering of 80 plus participants from different disciplines of GUB.

The Chairperson of the Dept of EEE, Dr. ASM Shihavuddin was present at the seminar as Chief Guest. Assistant Professors Shahriar Mahmud Kabir and Md. Hasan Maruf was also present as guests.
