Successful completion of “Career Counselling with Aspiring Students of EEE Department”

Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Green University of Bangladesh has successfully completed an online Career Counselling in ZOOM titled “Career Counselling with Aspiring Students of EEE Department”.  The session started from 03:30 PM and ended at 05:10 PM on Sunday, 29th November, 2020. Like other semesters, students having CGPA below 03.00 were invited for this session. The session was inaugurated by the session chair and chairperson of the department of EEE, Dr. ASM shihavuddin. The first speaker of the session Dr. A. A. Md. Monzur-Ul-Akhir, Assistant Professor, Dept. of EEE, explained and motivated the students in different aspects for future career development.

The Honorable Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman adorned the event as the Chief guest and enlightened the students showing ways and means to improve the overall class performance and what additional skill sets they should focus on.
 

Ms. Showkat Ara, Assistant General Manager, Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board (BREB), was present in the session as a special guest and showed the ways and means of taking preparation for power plant/govt job examinations. Mr. Khan Rahmat Ullah, former AP of GUB (Attending from University of New South Wales (UNSW), Australia) was present in the session as another Special Guest. He focused on the ways and means of Higher Study for the aspirant students of GUB.

 

Program Coordinators of Day and Evening, and almost all the lecturers, and aspiring students (CGPA below 03.00 till spring 2020 semester) of the EEE department both city and permanent campus were present in the program. In the program, the discussion focuses on student feedback, ways and means to improve the overall class performance, what additional skill sets they should focus on, how they can prepare themselves as effective and influential ambassadors of the university in the market, and related other topics. Around 80 students attended the program who enjoyed the seminar and participated in the Question & Answer session later.
