Successful Completion of Fresher’s Orientation Program, Summer 2021_Department of EEE

Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) successfully organized the virtual “Fresher’s Orientation Program” for Summer 2021 on 27 June 2021.

It is our great pleasure to inform you that Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, Associate Professor and Chairperson, Department of EEE, Prof. Dr. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer, GUB; Prof. Dr. Md. Quamrul Ahsan, Distinguished Professor; Department of EEE, faculty members, Departmental coordination officers, newly admitted students, and students from different batches were present at this event.

Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Samdani Fakir, Honorable Vice-Chancellor, Green University of Bangladesh, welcomed all the students for choosing the EEE department as their career pathway.

Prof. Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Honorable Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Green University of Bangladesh, highlighted the quality of research conducted by the EEE department and encouraged the students to focus on skill development to meet the challenges ahead.

The orientation began at 7.30 PM with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Abu Rayhan.

In the beginning, respected Distinguished Professor department of EEE, Prof. Dr. Md. Quamrul Ahsan welcomed all the new students in the department of EEE and highlighted the strengths and prospects of the department of EEE with the students. He also emphasized acquiring basic knowledge for becoming a skilled professional engineer.

Israt Jahan, Lecturer, Dept. of EEE  introduced all the faculty members to the new students.

Mr. Md. Najmul Huda Bijoy, Lecturer & mentors’ moderator Dept. of EEE discussed the importance of mentorship programs in GUB.

Mr. Sourav Barua, Lecturer & Program Coordinator (Permanent Campus) discussed departmental coordination and taught new students how to join Google classroom.

Md. Shafin Islam Nijhum, existing student of 211 batch dept. of EEE gave an inspirational speech for the freshers & instructed them on how to conduct online classes.

Honorable Chairperson, Dept. of EEE, Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, ensured to aid the students with the best quality of education. He also mentioned the achievements and research activities of the department of EEE. He thanked the organizers, faculty members, guests, and students for making this online orientation program a successful event.

Among the freshers, Saifullah Shuvon gave a special speech on his admission journey.

Khondoker Ehsan Mahmud, President of the EEE Club, welcomed the new students and introduced the EEE Club committee 2021, and also shared his views on the co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the EEE club. Also, Abu Rayhan Sayem, President of  the EEE club, introduced the committee 2021 of the EEE club permanent campus.

After that, EEE Club arranged an enjoyable cultural session which included three songs, a poem recitation, a dance, and a short funny drama.

Finally, our program ended with an instructional address by Prof. Dr. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer, Green University of Bangladesh.
