Successful completion of the Fresher’s Orientation program of Dept. of EEE – Fall 2021

We are glad to inform you that the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) had successfully organized the virtual “Fresher’s Orientation Program for Fall 2021 on October 19, 2021.

It is our great pleasure to inform you that Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, Associate Professor and Chairperson, Department of EEE, Prof. Dr. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer, Prof. Dr. Md. Quamrul Ahsan, Distinguished Professor, Department of EEE, faculty members, departmental coordination officers, newly admitted students, and students from different batches were present at this event. More than 150 participants participated in the event.

The orientation began at 6.30 PM with the recitation from holy Quran by Md. Abu Raihan. At the beginning, Prof. Dr. Md. Quamrul Ahsan, Distinguished Professor, highlighted the strengths and prospects of the department of EEE with the students. He also emphasized on acquiring basic knowledge for becoming a skilled professional engineer.

Ms. Shahela Akter, Lecturer, Dept of EEE introduced all the faculty members and departmental coordination officers to the students. Mr. Sourav Barua, Lecturer & Program Coordinator (Permanent Campus), mentioned the importance of Program Coordinators with the students. Md. Abdullah Al Oafi Himon, Lecturer, Dept of EEE, discussed the mentorship program with the students. Ahmed J. Nahian, Lecturer (Sr. Level), Dept of EEE, shared the departmental achievements with the freshers.

Honourable Chairperson, Dept. of EEE, Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, ensured to aid the students with the best quality of education. He also mentioned the achievements, research activities, co-curricular activities and the strength of unity within the department of EEE. He thanked the organizers, faculty members, guests, and students for making this online orientation program a successful event.

Shirin Akter spoke of their expectations, dreams, and goals on behalf of the 213 fresher batch. Sakib Abdul Ahad, Alumni, Dept. of EEE, inspired the freshers by his inspirational speech.

Prof. Dr. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer, Green University of Bangladesh, emphasized on the laboratory facilities and mentioned the strength of faculty members of the department of EEE.

Shahriar Mahmud Kabir, Assistant Professor and Moderator of the EEE Club, welcomed all the new students to the department. He also explained the activities of the EEE club in recent years.
