Successful Completion of the online program ”MEET THE ASPIRING STUDENTS” Department of EEE

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, I would like to inform you that we have organized a Virtual ”MEET THE ASPIRING STUDENTS” program today at 03:00 PM. This program has created a platform for the University Admission aspirants and their guardians to learn about the academic and administrative activities run by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Also, the University Admission Aspirants, their parents, and guardians got the opportunity to talk to the Chairperson, faculty members, admission officials, managerial officials, and current students of the department before their admission. Some key parts of the program are denoted below:

The program was started at 3.00 pm on 12 June 2021 by welcoming everyone and explaining the aims of the program based on the activities of the EEE department.
Dr. ASM. Shihavuddin, Chairperson, Dept. of EEE explained the updated facilities and online activities of the department. He especially pointed to the website of Help Center that can provide all the necessary information for students. He thanked the newly admitted students and also welcomed the admission aspirant students.
Prof. DR. MD. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer, GUB briefed the job perspectives of EEE to motivate the aspirants and present students.
Prof. DR. MD. Quamrul Ahsan, Distinguish Professor, Dept. of EEE, GUB explained why a student should choose EEE and emphasized the different responsibilities of an EEE engineer.
Israt Jahan, Lecturer, Dept. of EEE talked about the research profile of senior faculty members.
Mr. Md. Mazharul Islam, Deputy Registrar described the admission process, waivers, and different types of scholarships and their requirements offered by the university.
MD. Masum Hossain, Lecturer, Dept. of EEE explained the importance of higher studies and opportunities for higher studies of EEE graduates.
Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, Associate Professor, Dept. of EEE explained the Research Activities and Achievements of the EEE dept. in the last year.
Dr. MD. Ahsanul Alam, Associate Professor, Dept. of EEE explained the existing laboratory facilities of the EEE department and presented the lab videos created by the faculty members of the EEE dept.
MD. Najmul Huda Bijoy, Lecturer, Dept. of EEE illustrated different aspects of the mentorship program and discussed how the students are going to be facilitated by this program throughout their entire university life.
A student from the 211 batch named Shafin Islam Nijhum talked about their experience with online classes and how he achieved excellent results in this trying time by dint of his hard work, motivation, and cooperation from the helpful faculty members.
During the open question-answer session, the university aspirants, their guardians, and also the current students presented their queries. The Honorable Chairperson, Dept. of EEE, and senior faculty members responded to their concerns properly.

The program was ended with a short speech from the honorable Chairperson, Dept. of EEE. He thanked everyone for their presence and participation.
