Successful completion of the workshop on “MATLAB for Electrical & Electronic Engineers”_01 April, 2022

IEEE Power & Energy Society GUB Student Branch (IEEE PES GUB SBC) organized a workshop on “MATLAB in Electrical & Electronic Engineering” on 1 April 2022, Friday from 3 pm to 4.30 pm via Online Platform Called Zoom. The aim of the workshop was to improve the skill of the students on MATLAB and simulink which will assist them to accomplish their final year project/thesis and to solve the complex engineering problems.

The session was inaugurated by the Chief Guest and session chair Dr. Molla Shahadat Hossain Lipu, Chairperson & Associate Professor, Department of EEE, Green University of Bangladesh. The session was conducted by the keynote speaker Mr. Shahriar Mahmud Kabir, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, Green University of Bangladesh. The session started with a welcome speech from the Chairperson of the Department of EEE and then continued by the instructor of the session.

Throughout the session, participants were introduced to MATLAB and some of its basic concepts. Later on, some of the use cases of MATLAB were discussed. Signal Processing, Image Processing, Circuit Solution, Control System, Communication Systems are some of areas where MATLAB can be used effectively. Students were given some visual examples of using MATLAB.

At the end of the session, participants were asked to join a question-answer session. In this session, The speaker had interacted with the students to take their learning reflection.The speaker had demonstrated and answered the queries of the students through the simulation tool for better understanding.
