The Green University EEE Club is pleased to share the successful completion of the Annual Picnic 2026, organised for the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Green University of Bangladesh. The two-day programme was held at Cox's Bazar on 19 to 21 August 2026, with the participants assembling at Shewrapara on the night of 19 August 2026 and returning to Dhaka in the early hours following the third day. The tour was planned, financed and executed entirely by the Club, with the guidance of the Department of EEE and the support of its alumni.

A total of 120 participants joined the tour. Among them were 4 respected faculty members of the Department and 3 invited guests, the remaining 113 being students of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Every registered participant travelled with the group, completed the full programme and returned safely, and the Club records its satisfaction with the conduct, punctuality and cooperation shown throughout the two days.

Journey and Transport Arrangements

Two university buses were arranged from Shewrapara & GUB Campus to carry the participants to Kamalapur Railway Station, where the group assembled on the night of 19 August 2026. Two full train compartments were reserved for the journey from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar, which allowed all 120 participants to travel together in a reserved block .The group reached Cox's Bazar on the morning of 20 August 2026.

The First Day: 20 August 2026

The group reached Cox's Bazar on the morning of 20 August, where the participants completed their hotel check-in and were served breakfast. The morning session opened at half past eleven with the sea beach programme and the game segments arranged by the Club, which drew enthusiastic participation from students, faculty and guests alike. The group broke for prayers and lunch, and reassembled at four for a round of sightseeing and a visit to the local market.

The evening programme began with a barbecue dinner and a campfire night on the beach, which proved to be the most memorable segment of the tour.

The Raffle Draw

As part of the evening programme on 20 August 2026, the Club conducted a raffle draw for the participants. A total of 200 tickets were sold, and 25 gifts were distributed among the winning ticket holders. The draw was carried out openly in front of everyone present, and all twenty-five prizes were awarded and handed over the same evening. The segment was received with considerable excitement and contributed a great deal to the spirit of the campfire night.

The Second Day: 21 August 2026

The second day began at eight in the morning with the wake-up call and hotel check-out, followed by breakfast. At ten o'clock the participants set out on the Marine Drive tour by open jeep, travelling the coastal highway in the Chander Gari that had been arranged for the group; this proved to be the highlight of the second day. Lunch was served in the afternoon, after which the group visited the nearby tourist spots and spent time shopping from three o'clock onward.

The afternoon was left free from five o'clock for rest and preparation for the return journey, and at six the participants gathered for a final walk along the beach before departure. The group left Cox's Bazar at half past eight in the evening and reached Dhaka the following morning, bringing the Annual Picnic 2026 to a safe and orderly close.
