The Mentorship Program of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) recently conducted a special session titled “Empowering Batch 251: Steps and Support for Overcoming Academic Struggles” on March 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in room L-101. This event was designed to strengthen the relationship between the students and the department’s leadership.
The session featured Chairperson Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, Mentor Moderator Shaharior Anik, and Assistant Professor Mohammad Asif Ul Haq. Mentor Moderator Shaharior Anik delivered an inspiring speech, encouraging students to view challenges as growth opportunities and assuring them of continuous support. Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf emphasized the session’s purpose: to assess academic progress and address student concerns, particularly upcoming mid-term exams. He encouraged open dialogue, assuring students their feedback would be acted upon.
Assistant Professor Mohammad Asif Ul Haq provided practical advice on improving academic performance and stressed the importance of campus mannerism. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of campus mannerism, advising the freshers to respect all faculty members, staff, and senior students. He highlighted that mutual respect and professionalism are key to building a positive and collaborative campus culture.
The session concluded with mutual appreciation, leaving students empowered and reassured of the department’s commitment to their academic and personal development. This initiative underscores the EEE Department’s dedication to fostering a supportive and respectful learning environment.
