
We are pleased to share the successful completion of the mentorship session titled "Extracurricular Involvement: Club Activities," organized by the Mentorship Program, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Green University of Bangladesh. The session was held on 1 July 2026 at 8:30 AM in Room A-302 for the Summer 2026 freshers.
The primary objective of the session was to introduce students to the various student clubs at Green University of Bangladesh, encourage their active participation in extracurricular activities, and help them understand the personal, academic, and professional benefits of club involvement.


The program commenced with a welcome speech by Naimul Hassan Sourov, Student Mentor, who warmly welcomed the participants and introduced the objectives of the session.
The club introduction segment began with Md. Kanok Hossain, General Secretary of the EEE Club, who presented the club's activities, membership process, and opportunities for student engagement. He was followed by Md. Shaharior, who introduced the Green Robotics Society, and Md. Nowsad Nahed Himel, Organizing Secretary of the IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter, who highlighted the chapter's initiatives and encouraged students to become actively involved in its activities.

The session was also graced by Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), and Director of CRITS, Green University of Bangladesh. During the discussion session, Shaharior Anik emphasized the significance of extracurricular involvement in developing students' leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. A.K.M Shahabuddin shared valuable insights on how active participation in student organizations contributes to both academic excellence and personal growth. Dr. Mohammad Shariful Alam highlighted the important role of Student Affairs and encouraged students to engage in club activities to enrich their university experience and prepare themselves for future challenges.
The session concluded with the closing remarks delivered by Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, who expressed his appreciation to the distinguished guests, club representatives, mentors, and students for their active participation. He encouraged the freshers to make the most of the opportunities available through student clubs and extracurricular activities.


The mentorship session concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation and positive feedback from the attendees. It provided the freshers with a comprehensive understanding of campus life beyond the classroom and inspired them to become active members of the university community.
