We are delighted to inform you that the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), in collaboration with IQAC, has successfully organized a full-day workshop entitled "Research Data, Course File and Stakeholders' Survey" on Tuesday, 20 May 2025. This workshop has placed a significant benchmark in the BAC application progress of EEE department. The workshop primarily focused on BAC Standard 5: Teaching-Learning & Assessment and BAC Standard 9: Research & Scholarly Articles. All the faculty members of EEE department spontaneously participated in the workshop. Prof. Dr. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer, GUB, and Dr. Mohammed Nazmus Shakib, Additional Director, IQAC, GUB, graced the workshop with their presence.

Opening Session: 

The workshop was initiated by Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, Chairperson and Associate Professor, EEE. He briefed on the  EEE department's preparation status for BAC application and the activity plan for the daylong workshop. Prof. Dr. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer, GUB, praised the progress and activities of the EEE department. He signified the importance of accreditation in standardizing our degree. Additionally, he pointed out the need for accreditation in attracting students. 

Session 1: Research Data and Stakeholders' Survey

Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al Mansur, Director of CRIT and Convener of the Accreditation Committee, EEE, provided a short presentation on the BAC Standard 9. He explained the required research data to the faculty members and requested all the faculty members to submit their individual research data as per the provided specific format. He emphasized producing more quality research articles and recalled the journey of high-impact research works of the EEE department. Md. Ashraful Islam, Lab Lecturer, EEE, assisted the faculty members in organizing the research data. 

After the research data collection, Md. Istiac Ahmed, Member of the Accreditation Committee, EEE, shared the stakeholders' survey form with the faculty members. He explained the feedback questions and guided the faculty members to effective participation in the survey. 

Session 2: BAC Standard 5 and Course File Reviewing

Mohammad Asif Ul Haq, Assistant Professor, EEE and Convener of CQI, EEE, initiated the second session on BAC Standard 5. He presented the course file requirements for BAC and reviewed the course file preparation procedure. He pointed out some common mistakes and requested all the participants to be cautious while preparing the course file. 

Dr Mohammed Nazmus Shakib, Additional Director of IQAC, pointed out the importance of accreditation for Green University of Bangladesh as well as for the EEE department. He mentioned that EEE department is well-performing and accreditation will elevate the status of the department. He stated that most of the documents have been provided by IQAC and requested all the faculty members to work dedicatedly for the accreditation. 

Closing Session: 

Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, Chairman, EEE, provided a vote of thanks to all the faculty members for their active participation in the daylong workshop. He appreciated the progress of the accreditation committee and thanked IQAC for the necessary support for the workshop.
