The Program Self Assessment Committee (PSAC) of the Department of EEE arranged a hands-on workshop entitled “Workshop on Course Outcome Assessment” on 03 Aug 2026. The objective of the workshop was to provide the faculty members a thorough understanding of course outcomes along with the associated program outcomes, knowledge levels and syllabus coverage. The workshop was facilitated by Md. Istiac Ahmed, Lecturer and PSAC member, EEE and was chaired by Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, Associate Professor and Chairperson, EEE. 

During the workshop, the faculty members assessed the course outcomes of their respective courses and provided their suggestions on the correctness of the CO statement, knowledge level, PO alignment, and their coverage of course content. Additionally, the faculty members checked the courses’ compatibility to incorporate complex engineering projects. 70 courses including core, GED, basic sciences, and elective courses were successfully evaluated by the faculty members through the workshop. 

Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, chairperson of the department highlighted the significance of the workshop in standardizing the program curriculum and quality education. He mentioned that the periodic assessment of the course outcomes will contribute to the appropriate judgment of the student's capabilities and will provide them a more holistic view of real-life engineering problems. 

Md. Istiac Ahmed briefed on the current status of the accreditation progress and assisted the faculty members in carrying out their assigned tasks in the workshop. He additionally explained how the outcome of this workshop will contribute to the accreditation process.
