The Mentorship Program of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) successfully organized a two-day workshop on “PowerPoint Slide Making” on August 20 and 21, 2024, at 9 PM via the Zoom platform. Approximately 35 enthusiastic students from the 242-batch participated in this engaging event.

Day 01 – Basic Level
The first day of the workshop focused on fundamental skills for using MS PowerPoint. Participants explored essential tools, including:

  • Text and Font Usage

  • Table Formatting and Layout

  • Working with Backgrounds

  • Equations and Symbols for Slides

At the conclusion of Day 01, the mentors addressed queries from the audience and assigned an exercise on slide preparation to reinforce the day’s learning.

Day 02 – Advanced Level
On the second day, students presented their assignments, which were reviewed by our expert team. Participants received constructive feedback and guidance. The session then advanced to cover:

  • Slide Design Principles

  • Incorporating Visuals

  • Transitions and Animations

  • Presentation Skills

The workshop was exceptionally well-received, with students expressing appreciation for the practical approach adopted by the mentors. Participants left with a deeper understanding of how to create impactful PowerPoint presentations that will benefit them in their academic endeavors, future careers, and various extracurricular activities.
