On the occasion of the Great Independence and National Day 2024, the largest multipurpose octacopter drone in Bangladesh proudly hoisted the national flag for the first time in the country’s history.

This groundbreaking drone was developed by Narsingdi Science and Robotics Lab, recognized as the Best Young Innovators’ Institution of 2023.

The drone was operated by Mr. Badiul Alam, the Honorable Deputy Commissioner of Narsingdi.

Since 2016, Narsingdi Science and Robotics Lab has been working with drone technology, earning numerous international honors and gold medals.

Most of the lab’s members are students of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Green University of Bangladesh.

Using seven years of experience, the team successfully developed the country’s largest multipurpose octacopter drone in 2023.

In his speech, DC Badiul Alam praised the invention as a revolutionary milestone that will inspire the next generation of innovators.

Rafi Hossain, CEO of Narsingdi Science and Robotics Lab and a student of Green University, said the project represents the tireless efforts of all team members and will serve as a source of inspiration for the future.

Amirul Islam, the chief advisor and a young researcher, stated that the project demonstrates their technical capability.

He added that with government support, they can achieve even greater innovations and continue to uphold the pride of the national flag at home and abroad.
