Thrills and Cheers at EGPL Season 2

Victory or defeat, every moment of a cricket match is a celebration at heart. For weeks, the excitement of the “EEE Green Premier League (EGPL) Season 2,” organized by the EEE Club of Green University, filled the campus air. Twelve teams from different batches of the department competed in this four-day cricket extravaganza. From day one, the field buzzed with laughter, thrill, and fierce competition. Ignoring the scorching sun, students ran barefoot chasing the ball, forgetting wins and losses, and celebrating together. The sunlight blending with the sparkle of bats created a mesmerizing sight, while the gallery erupted with cheers, banners, whistles, and occasional “tension at the end of the over!” Day one witnessed a six-fest, day two highlighted spinning brilliance, and on day three, a final-ball six sealed the excitement. On Tuesday, 21 October 2025, from 9 AM to 4 PM, the final at the Central Field saw the champions defeat “251” with 222 runs in a nail-biting finish. The university VC and other dignitaries awarded the trophy, bringing smiles to the players and applause from the crowd. Truly, the EEE Department is not just connected in circuits—it’s brilliantly “connected” on the cricket field too!
