The Green University Library, in collaboration with the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), successfully organized a Library Orientation Program for newly admitted students on Wednesday, 24 June 2026, at 8:30 a.m. at the Seminar Room 302, Building A. The program aimed to familiarize students with the library’s resources, services, facilities, and access procedures through an informative presentation and practical demonstration. Approximately 79 participants, including faculty members, mentors, and students, attended the session.

The program was anchored by Asadujjaman Himon, a student of the 242 Batch and Mentor Intern (Summer 2026). The session commenced with a welcome address by Mr. Shahriar Mahmud Kabir, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, and a member of the  Executive Committee for the GUB Library. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of the library in academic success, lifelong learning, and personal development. He encouraged students to set clear academic and career goals and highlighted the need for continuous learning in an increasingly knowledge-driven world.

Following the welcome address, Naimul Hasan Sourov, a student of the 232 Batch and Mentor Intern (Summer 2026), delivered a motivational speech. He discussed the significance of library resources, responsible use of borrowed materials, and the benefits of utilizing library services throughout university life.

The technical session was conducted by Ms. Nawshaba Bulia, Library Officer, GUB Library. She provided a comprehensive overview of the library’s printed and electronic resources, study facilities, rules and regulations, and e-library services. A live demonstration was also conducted on searching and accessing e-books, journals, and other scholarly resources from subscribed databases and publishers.
