Alumni Community Formation: Connecting Graduates by Career Path

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), Green University of Bangladesh, in association with the Green EEE Club and the EEE Alumni Committee, successfully organized the Alumni Community Formation program held on 12 June 2026 (Friday) at Green University of Bangladesh. The program was arranged to establish sustainable professional networks among EEE alumni and to ensure that the connection built during the reunion continues beyond the event itself.

Participants joined groups according to their expertise, professional experience, and areas of interest. The groups met in designated rooms, where the members introduced themselves, discussed the scope and priorities of their respective communities, and identified the forms of support each community could extend to fellow graduates and to current students. Enrolment was completed through online forms so that a verified record of membership remains available to the Department and to the EEE Alumni Committee. Three principal professional communities were formed during the program.

From Campus to Corporate: Private-Sector Career Path brought together alumni working in private organizations and the corporate sector. Participants discussed the transition from university life to professional employment, workplace expectations, recruitment preparation, technical and interpersonal skills, and career-development opportunities. The community is intended to serve as a first point of contact for students preparing to enter private-sector employment.

Engineering the Future: From EEE Graduate to Tech Entrepreneur focused on entrepreneurship, technological innovation, start-up development, and the opportunities available to EEE graduates who wish to establish technology-driven ventures. Alumni with entrepreneurial experience shared practical knowledge about turning ideas into viable enterprises and about the challenges encountered in the early stages of a venture.

The Public-Sector Path: Experience Sharing and Career Guidelines connected alumni working in, or preparing for, public-sector careers. Participants shared experience-based guidance on career planning, recruitment examinations, professional preparation, and the opportunities available to EEE graduates in government and public institutions.

Overall, the program was conducted successfully and achieved its objective of organizing the graduates of the Department into structured professional communities. The formation of these communities represents an important step toward building an alumni network capable of supporting mentoring, career guidance, professional referrals, entrepreneurship, and knowledge-sharing, while providing the Department with sector-specific channels for sustained engagement with its graduates.
