The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) of Green University of Bangladesh, in association with the Green EEE Club and the EEE Alumni Committee, successfully organized the daylong alumni reunion “EEE Green Ex-Together 2.0: এতদিন কোথায় ছিলে 2.0” on 12 June 2026. Approximately 150 alumni joined university officials, faculty members, and current students for a programme running from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, designed to reconnect graduates with their department, strengthen professional and institutional collaboration, and celebrate the lasting bond within the EEE family.

The day began with registration, welcome, and breakfast at the entrance of the A Building, where alumni were received by the organizing team and Green EEE Club volunteers and updated their alumni information while meeting former classmates, faculty members, and students. This was followed by the Opening Ceremony and Panel Discussion in Room A-302, anchored by Jannatul Islam and Jishan Khan of the Green EEE Club. The anchors welcomed Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, Chairperson of the Department of EEE; Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin, Director of CRITS and CETL; Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, Treasurer of Green University of Bangladesh; and the faculty members of the Department. In his address, Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf reflected on memorable experiences with former students and highlighted the importance of a strong Department–graduate relationship, while several alumni shared memories of their university lives and offered constructive suggestions for future initiatives.

The Stage Performance and Felicitation segment brought creativity and entertainment to the reunion. Students of the Green EEE Club staged a drama titled “এতদিন কোথায় ছিলে,” reflecting the central theme of the event, followed by an interactive stage activity hosted by Md. Atiqul Islam, Lecturer and Convener of the Alumni Committee, in which alumni performed spontaneous tasks drawn at random. Batch-wise networking over a tea break then allowed alumni to revisit memories and exchange professional updates, while current students learned directly from graduates about career preparation, higher education, and professional development. A lunch and prayer break was arranged from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM in the university cafeteria.

The afternoon featured a cultural programme in the cafeteria, where alumni and current students performed popular songs together in a lively intergenerational exchange, followed by Alumni vs. Student Sports and Engagement on the playground in front of the Administration Building, including football, cricket, archery, Chobite Tip Porano, and other interactive games.

The event concluded with a Closing Ceremony on the university field, where trees and saplings were awarded as prizes to the winners of the sports and stage activities in a distinctive, environmentally responsible initiative. Green EEE Club volunteers were recognized with certificates of appreciation presented by Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, and participating alumni. Closing remarks by Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman and Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf thanked everyone for their collective effort, and the ceremony ended with a group photograph. Combining academic engagement, networking, cultural celebration, sports, and environmental responsibility on a single platform, Ex-Together 2.0 laid the foundation for continued collaboration in mentoring, industry engagement, entrepreneurship, and alumni networking.
