
Members of the newly formed EEE Alumni Committee of Green University of Bangladesh visited the university campus on 25/07/2026 to exchange greetings with the university authorities and to formally introduce the newly constituted committee. The programme was arranged by the EEE Alumni Committee in coordination with the Green EEE Club.


The delegation paid a courtesy call on the Honourable Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohammad Shorif Uddin, the Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khawza Iftekhar Uddin Ahmed, the Treasurer Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman, the Registrar Captain (Navy) Shaikh Mohammad Salahuddin, (TAS), NGP, psc (retd) and Professor Dr. Md. Saiful Azad, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE), Green University of Bangladesh presenting flower bouquets as a mark of respect and goodwill.


Greetings were also exchanged with Dr Mohammed Nazmus Shakib, Associate Professor, Dept. of EEE on behalf of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The Honourable Vice Chancellor congratulated the members on the formation of the committee and shared his valuable thoughts on the role of alumni in the development of the university, noting that an active and well-organized alumni body strengthens the identity of the institution and supports current students. The Registrar observed that the effectiveness of the central alumni association depends largely on the strength of its departmental committees, and remarked that if the departmental committee functions well, the central committee can also be run effectively.


Following the courtesy call, the members of the Alumni Committee held a meeting with the students of the Green EEE Club. The students presented their plan for an upcoming picnic and sought the advice of the alumni members on its organization. The members assured the students of their fullest possible cooperation and shared a number of practical suggestions drawn from their own experience of organizing similar programmes during their student life. The meeting concluded with a cordial and constructive discussion.


The visit marked an encouraging beginning for the newly formed committee and reaffirmed the commitment of the Department of EEE, its alumni, and the Green EEE Club to working together for the continued development of the department and its students.
