NextGen BD: Engineering Tomorrow

We are thrilled to share the outstanding success of NextGen BD: Engineering Tomorrow, the day-long flagship event held on May 13, 2025, at the Green University Multipurpose Hall. Organized by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) in collaboration with the Admission Office of GUB, the event brought together innovation, creativity, and collaboration under one roof with over 120 college students, several notable college teachers, and industry guests.

Opening Ceremony

The event commenced with an inspiring opening ceremony, graced by:

• Chief Guest: Prof. Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman – Treasurer, GUB

• Special Guests:

  • Captain (Navy) S M Salahuddin NGP, psc (Retd.) – Registrar, GUB

  • Prof. Dr. Md. Quamrul Ahsan – Distinguished Professor, EEE

Their visionary speeches encouraged students to lead the charge in building a smarter, more innovative Bangladesh.

Gaming and Fun Segment

A special gaming segment was arranged to uplift the spirit of the college participants. With exciting brain games and challenges, college students had a blast. Winners received special gifts distributed by Prof. Dr. Md. Saiful Azad, Dean of FSE and Director of IQAC, GUB.

Stage Performance by College Students

Students from various colleges presented an engaging impromptu drama performance, filled with emotion and humor. The crowd was thoroughly entertained and deeply moved by their performance.

Mars Rover Demonstration by GUB Robotics Team

In an inspiring tech segment, the GUB Robotics Team showcased their Mars Rover prototype (Project Lotus), sparking curiosity among the crowd and giving a glimpse into advanced student-led innovation.

Campus Tour for College Delegations

College students and teachers were taken on a guided tour across labs, classrooms, and other university facilities. This was a chance for them to explore the academic environment of GUB up close.

Closing and Prize-Giving Ceremony

The event concluded with the presence of:

Champions and runner-up teams were awarded amid cheers and applause, marking the culmination of a truly memorable day.

Cultural Segment

The evening ended with soulful music and energetic performances by GUB students, celebrating the spirit of youth and unity.
