The Mentorship Program of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB) successfully organized a focused session titled “Empowering Batch 250: Steps & Support for Overcoming Academic Struggles” on August 3, 2025. The session was conducted in two consecutive segments—first in Room L-101 (Section D1) and then in Room J-111 (Section D2)—to ensure meaningful participation and individual attention.
The session was graced by Dr. Md Hasan Maruf, Chairperson and Associate Professor, Department of EEE.
The core objective of the session was to create a safe space for students to voice their academic and administrative challenges. During the open discussion, students came forward with several pressing issues, including:
Transportation challenges, particularly for those commuting from distant areas or relying on shared routes.
Technical difficulties with the Student Portal, such as errors in course registration, lack of access to uploaded materials, and confusion regarding mid-term schedules.
Communication gaps, especially in the timely dissemination of academic notices, updates from faculty, and coordination of assignments or lab tasks.

Dr. Md Hasan Maruf attentively addressed each concern, providing immediate clarifications where possible and assuring the students that unresolved issues would be escalated to the appropriate authorities. He emphasized the department’s commitment to making academic processes smoother, more accessible, and student-friendly. His calm and approachable demeanor encouraged even hesitant students to speak up.
This initiative once again reaffirmed the EEE Department’s proactive stance in supporting students—not only academically but also in resolving logistical and systemic barriers to their success.
