We are very happy to inform you that we have successfully arranged a physical interactive session with the newly admitted students of the EEE Department. The session was titled “Talk and Tickle Talk Fest” and it was held on 15 July, Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM , Room J-111. This was our first offline session with the fresher batch of 250 after their admission. We took this opportunity to welcome them in a warm and friendly way so that they can feel comfortable and connected from the very beginning of their varsity life. The session was mainly focused on academic things, but we also talked about different university activities which are important for their overall growth. It was a nice environment where seniors and juniors could interact. We believe this kind of session helps freshers to remove confusion and feel more confident. They were happy to join, and we are planning to do more sessions like this in the future.

The full session was hosted by our respected faculty- Shaharior Anik, Lecturer & Mentor Moderator , Dept. of EEE, who not only anchored the session but also spoke to the students personally, encouraged them, and gave guidance for their academic journey. His speech inspired the students to focus on their goals and reminded them of the importance of building discipline and a positive mindset from the very beginning. The main aim of the session was to give our new students a clear idea about academic life, especially how they can manage their studies smartly and understand the university systems better. Alongside this, we shared some important information about varsity-level activities such as clubs, workshops, and volunteering opportunities.

Learning Outcomes from the Session :

➢ Understanding the CGPA System: Many students came from different academic backgrounds, so we gave them a basic but clear idea of how the CGPA system works. We explained the calculation method, the importance of grade points, and how every course affects the final CGPA. ➢ Maintaining a Good CGPA: We discussed strategies on how to maintain a consistent CGPA throughout the semesters. This included tips on class participation, submitting assignments on time, attending labs regularly, and building good relations with course teachers.

➢ Study Smart, Not Just Hard: We talked about the importance of smart studying rather than only hard studying. This included making short notes, reviewing lectures weekly, following the syllabus strictly, and group discussions before exams. We advised them to avoid last-minute study habits and instead stay consistent.

➢ Course Correlation Awareness: Many freshers were not aware of how some courses are linked across semesters. We introduced them to the idea of course correlation, showing how basic subjects like Mathematics, Physics, or Electrical Circuits will support later courses like Control Systems, Power Electronics, and so on.

➢ Bonding and Peer Support: Lastly, we encouraged the students to build bonding among themselves. We highlighted how friendship and peer support play a huge role in reducing stress and boosting academic performance. Good bonding also helps in sharing resources, solving doubts, and working on projects together
