Webinar titled “Bangladesh Chiptalk: Empowering Talent to Global Semiconductor Opportunities”

We are pleased to announce the successful completion of our webinar titled “Bangladesh Chiptalk: Empowering Talent to Global Semiconductor Opportunities”, held on November 3, 2025.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by our Lecturer, Mr. Sakib Abdul Ahad. Following this, our esteemed Guest of Honour, Dr. ASM Shihavuddin,Professor, Department of EEE, GUB, Director, CETL & CRIT highlighted the significance of the VLSI field and motivated our students to engage actively.

We were honoured to have Dr. Md. Hasan Maruf, our Chairperson, who facilitated the session and introduced our Guests of Honour, Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman (Professor & Treasurer, Department of EEE, GUB) and Dr. ASM Shihavuddin.

The webinar featured two insightful keynote speakers:

• Dr. Mehedi Hasan, Principal Process Development Engineer at Lightwave Wave Magic, USA, and former Engineer at Intel, who shared his inspiring journey from academia to industry, providing a comprehensive perspective on global opportunities in the VLSI field.

• Ms. Asma Khatun, Founding Member and PD Engineer at a Stealth Phase VLSI Design Service Startup, who elaborated on the fundamentals of VLSI and emphasized the importance of nurturing more graduates from Green University in this field.

The session also included an engaging Q&A segment, where Dr. Mehedi Hasan addressed queries from Dr. Md. Fayzur Rahman about the fabrication of VLSI chips and the future prospects for our students in this sector.
