Discover and engage with our state-of-the-art laboratories, where innovation meets hands-on learning.
The Physics Laboratory at Green University provides a foundational platform for exploring the fundamental principles of classical mechanics, electromagnetism, optics, and thermal physics through precise experimental investigation. Students engage in mechanical experiments such as determining the spring constant, rigidity modulus, Young’s modulus, and the moment of inertia of a flywheel, which enhances their understanding of material properties and dynamics. The lab enables accurate measurement of gravitational acceleration using a compound pendulum and explores wave optics through Newton’s rings for determining lens curvature and the wavelength of monochromatic light. Electrical experiments involve resistance and specific resistance determination using a meter bridge, along with the evaluation of the mechanical equivalent of heat via the electrical method. Magnetic properties are explored through experiments on the Earth’s magnetic field and the magnetic moment using magnetometers. Thermal studies include specific heat measurements with radiation correction, while acoustic resonance is investigated using a sonometer for tuning fork calibration. This laboratory cultivates analytical thinking, precision, and experimental rigor essential for engineering research and innovation.
